I attended a typical middle class marriage ceremony in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. I was there at the venue from the beginning and took snaps of the whole episode which I present herewith.

SCENE AT GROOM'S HOUSE RECEPTION TO THE COUPLE


A customery reception was held at the bridegroom's house to celebrate the occasion (বৌভাত ) two days after the marriage ceremony. It was attended by many people of different social status but known or related to the couple. Some of the pictures are presented herewith.
